Kuwait- Oman opens Craftsman's House in several governorates

MUSCAT Dec 6 (KUNA) -- Sultanate of Oman Public Authority for Craft Industries has availed all the human and physical resources to maintain Omani craft industries to the subsequent generations and develop them but without prejudice to the Omani genuine identity.
The opening of the Omani Craft House in the different governorates of the Sultanate comes as part of Oman's interest and keenness to promote and market craft industries and to highlight these various industries and creations that reflect all Omani geographical environments with all their cultural and artistic aspects. It also encourages craftsmen to continue work in this field and showcase their products.
The Omani Craft House is an important link as it includes all the manufactured craft products that are made of natural diverse products extracted from the local environment which reflected the environmental diversity in the Sultanate.
Salim Bin Ali Al-Hasosi one of the Omani's craftsmen said to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Omani Craft House includes wood products that are known for their beautiful decoration clay products leather products silverworks and jewelries which reflect the richness of the Omani environment and its deep-rooted culture.
The success of the first Oman Craft House in Muscat encouraged Oman's Public Authority for Craft Industries to roll over the experience to other governorates such as Nizwa Khasab Buhla in addition to marketing outlets in a number of hotels in Sohar Musandam and Ras Al Hadd. (end) ar.haq
