(MENAFN- Arab News) JERUSALEM: Three Palestinians attacked Israeli troops with knives in separate incidents on Friday before they were shot and killed by the Israeli forces the military said.
A Palestinian stabbed and wounded a soldier near Ramallah in the West Bank the military said. It said troops at the scene opened fire and killed the attacker.
Earlier in the day two Palestinians attacked a soldier with knives in the city of Hebron also in the West Bank wounding him before Israeli troops shot and killed them the military said.
Meanwhile a Palestinian driver ran over and injured two Israeli soldiers in the West Bank on Friday before being shot dead Israeli security services said.
'A Palestinian rammed his vehicle at soldiers' near the West Bank Jewish settlement of Ofra north of Ramallah an army statement said.
'In response forces on site fired at the assailant' it added.
Police said the alleged attacker had been killed.
Palestinian security sources identified him as 19-year-old Anas Basam Hamad from near Ofra.
The soldiers were taken to hospital with Israel's medical service describing their conditions as not life threatening.
Two Palestinians were wounded on Friday near Israel's heavily guarded border with the enclave when tanks fired on them Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said.
