Gulf Air and Airbus host A320 family regional seminar

(MENAFN- Arab News) Gulf Air Bahrain's national carrier and Airbus a major aircraft manufacturer held a celebration to mark the conclusion of A320 family regional seminar for MEA and India operators. It was jointly hosted by Airbus and Gulf Air in Manama earlier this month.
Bringing together the region's aviation experts technical professionals and engineering managers the two-day technical seminar served as a forum for knowledge-sharing and detailed and collaborative technical discussions on regional fleet performance top technical issues and associated solutions the operations of the A320 family aircraft Airbus' ongoing and upcoming developments in support of airline operations along with invaluable insight into the A320 family product evolutions.
Gulf Air Chief Technical Officer Jamal Hashim said: 'On behalf of Gulf Air as long-time Airbus partners and as the hosting partner of this technical symposium I'm pleased to be part of this platform that gathers the region's amassed technical aviation expertise in Bahrainthe birthplace of GCC aviation.'
Gilles de Cevins VP A320 program at Airbus Customer Services stated: 'The Airbus regional seminars aim at gathering the key airlines of a given part of the world and addressing their main operational difficulties. The reasonable size of the forum favors constructive discussions and networking opportunities between operators.'
As a key national infrastructure asset Gulf Air connects Bahrain to the world serving as a powerful driver for the economy and supporting the Kingdom's ongoing economic growth. In line with this Bahrain's national carrier was most recently official carrier of 2015 Routes MEA and the Arab Air Carriers' Organization (AACO) Business Technology Forum.
The airline has been official airline and sponsor of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix ever since it made history as the first Formula One Grand Prix to be held in the Middle East in 2004.
