Saudi- Competition Council's Secretary General meets World Bank delegation


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh 05 Safar 1437 AH November 17 2015 SPA -- The Secretary General of Competition Council Dr. Musaed bin Nasser Al-Otaibi received a delegation from the World Bank included Roberto an expert in competition policy and Abdul Rahman Abu Zeid adviser of the private development sector aiming to study and improve financial services to small and medium-sized companies.
During the meeting held here yesterday they discussed a number of issues including restrictions on the entry into and expansion of the sector the existence of preferential terms for some of the financial sectors restrictions on consumers and the lack of options and restrictions on business strategy either because of competitive procedures or limiting incentives.
The World Bank delegation will hold several meetings with the concerned parties whether in government or the private sector to be briefed on their views about the actual competition and restrictions of competition within the banking sector on individuals in the Kingdom especially the service in the sector of small and medium-sized companies.
