EU Australia agree to launch talks on free trade deal


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Antalya Turkey Safar 03 1437 November 15 2015 SPA -- The European Union and Australia have agreed
to launch free trade talks both sides announced Sunday in the
Turkish city of Antalya ahead of a summit of the 20 world leading
economies dpa reported.

"We agreed to commence work toward the launch of negotiations for a
free trade agreement" EU President Donald Tusk European Commission
President Jean-Claude Juncker and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm
Turnbull said in a joint statement following talks.

Such a deal would "support sustainable growth and investment open up
new commercial opportunities and promote innovation and employment in
Australia and the EU" they said adding that initial discussions
should start as soon as possible.
