UAE- Jordan s Senate President receives Arab diplomatic corps members

AMMAN 12th November 2015 (WAM)Faisal Al Fayez Jordan's Senate president has received members of Arab diplomatic corps to Jordan who came to congratulate him on assuming his new post.

Bilal Rabie Bilal Al Bodour the UAE Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan extended greetings to Al Fayez on his appointment as the President of Jordanian Senate. He also conveyed to him the greetings of the UAE officials as well as their pride for the strong relations between the UAE and Jordan.

Al Fayez praised the role model and distinguished ties the UAE and Jordan. He also hailed the security and stability being witnessed by the UAE and GCC states which have a positive impact on their peoples thanks to their prudent leaderships which always work tirelessly to make their peoples happy.

Members of the diplomatic corps expressed their appreciation at the strenuous efforts of King Abdullah II of Jordan to defend the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and serve the Arab issues at various levels as well as Jordan's fight against terrorism and extremism forces.

They also expressed their admiration at prosperity being witnessed by Jordan in various sectors as well as its reformation process hailing Jordanian's democracy as a role model in the region.

Al Fayez made a presentation on the major challenges facing the Arab nation at this stage focussing on unfolding events in Iraq Syria Yemen Libya and Palestine and called for setting up an Arab strategy to enable the Arab countries to take an active role in resolving crises and challenges.

He also called on members of the diplomatic corps to recognise the economic conditions faced by Jordan and provide support and assistance to enable it to continue its role as a safety valve for the region.
