(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The second edition of Pediatric Conference kicked off, on Thursday, with an international participation.
The three-day event, under the slogan of "Future Vision," is organized by Health Ministry to elevate health services offered to children.
Secretary General of Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization (KIMS) Dr. Ibrahim Hadi told KUNA that pediatric medicine has become a national priority in order to raise healthy generations for better advancement of the country.
He lauded pediatric department at Al-Sabah Hospital for its great achievements since its establishment in 1963.
On her part, head of the Conference and head of Pediatric Department at Al-Sabah Hospital Dr. Iman Al-Oneizi said that the conference will see 35 lectures and 4 workshops on various aspects of children medicine.
She added that 29 medical experts from Kuwait, Canada, US, Germany, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and UAE will speak at the event.
