(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A Palestinian young woman was shot dead early Monday by Israeli soldiers at a check point in the West bank city of Qalqilya after she allegedly attempted to carry out a stabbing attack against the soldiers.

According to the Israeli Radio, the woman approached the Eliyahu check point south of Qalqiliya, where the Israeli soldiers asked her several times to stop advancing but she refused.

Israeli soldiers opened fire against the woman and shot her dead on the spot, the radio added.
