Jordan- Queen Rania attends JRF's 20th anniversary exhibition


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah attended, on Sunday, the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) 20th Annual Handicrafts Exhibition entitled "Heritage." Her Majesty was received by Mrs. Enaam Barrishi, Director of JRF and Danah Dajani, Deputy Director of JRF. The event was also attended by several nations' ambassadors to Jordan, JRF donors, board members, staff and beneficiaries, as well as designers.

Her Majesty toured the exhibition which included hand woven Bani Hamida rugs with a fresh modern twist; wall hangings and cushions embroidered with a mélange of Art Deco patterns and organic motifs; the Turath Collection which combines hand stitched embroidery with photography through mixed media techniques in addition to a selection of decorative items and furnishings designed around geometric lines that combine modern materials with traditional embroidery in various arrangements. The exhibition also included a Traditional Dress Collection.

The Jordan River Foundation 20thannual handicrafts exhibition is currently on display at the showroom premises in Jabal Amman.

The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) is a Jordanian non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1995 and Chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. JRF's vision is to establish a Jordan where solutions are homegrown, where the opportunity to prosper is for all, and where the wellbeing of children shapes the country's future. JRF seeks to engage Jordanians to realize their full economic potential and overcome social challenges especially child abuse.
