Six Flags boosted by higher visitor numbers

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors)Theme park operator Six Flags (NYSE:SIX) was boosted by strong visitor numbers and as a result it increased third quarter earnings by 50%. Six Flags in an afterhours results statement revealed a 9% rise in visitors across its 18 theme parks with the guest tally amounting to almost 13mln. It reported a US$157.3mln profit up from US$105mln in the same period of 2014. At US$575.3mln third quarter revenue had increased some 6.2% compared to last year. The financial performance was ahead of market expectations.
