Jordan- King rejects decentralization draft law
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II, in line with the powers vested in him by article 93 of the constitution, has ordered the rejection of the 2015 decentralization draft law after it was passed by the parliament.
The reason to reject the bill was based on the fact that chapter (a) of article (6) of the draft legislation is incompatible with the interpretation issued by the Constitutional Court, which deemed it as unconstitutional and in contradiction with the provisions of article (121) of the constitution.
