ABU DHABI 19th October 2015 (WAM) -- A UAE paper has said that the efforts of the Saudi-led Arab coalition in restoring Yemen's legitimacy have undoubtedly received a huge boost with hundreds of Sudanese troops landing in Aden to join the coalition.

"This will help accomplish the noble mission of bringing peace and stability to the people of Yemen much faster" said The Gulf Today in an editorial on Monday.

People in Yemen have suffered for too long owing to unprecedented crimes and rights violations by Al Houthi militants.

The Yemeni Coalition to Monitor Human Rights Violations YCMHRV recently exposed the Houthi militia/Saleh group's recklessness towards human suffering by documenting a series of heinous crimes and gross human rights violations committed by that group.

Between September 2014 and August 2015 3074 people were murdered about 20 per cent of whom were women and children; 7347 civilians wounded due to random shelling at least 25 per cent of whom were women and children.

Torture was widely common in Houthis-Saleh militia detention facilities. Many abductees were subjected to beatings electric shocks burning with cigarettes pouring of hot water threats of rape and death and even mock executions.

On the naval front there has been effective action by the Arab Coalition. The navies of the coalition continue to besiege the Yemeni coasts to cut off any supplies to the rebel Houthi militia and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The securing of the Yemeni ports by coalition forces come with the sincere idea of ensuring delivery of humanitarian supplies to the Yemeni people affected by the developments.

The naval siege has successfully deprived the rebel Houthis and pro-Saleh militias of the use of seaports like Hodeidah and Mokha to transport military reinforcements or receive foreign arms shipments.

The Arab coalition is exerting all efforts to support Yemen's security and stability as an integral part of the GCC's security.

As far as the UAE is concerned the entire country stands as one in supporting the righteous mission.

While performing their duty the soldiers of this great nation also serve entire humanity as they are involved in fighting for justice and peace. In the process they also make sure that future generations are safe.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has made the UAE's position very clear by stating that the security of the region and the Arab countries is indivisible and that security in the UAE is inseparable from the security of all Arab countries.
