The Financial sub-index ended up 0.58 per cent at 7324.01. The Services gauge added 0.23 per cent while the Industrial index slipped 0.4 per cent to 7364.73. The MSM Shariah Index closed up 0.37 per cent at 909.06.

Market breadth was positive with 16 stocks posting gains against eight which closed down while 16 securities remained unchanged. Total volumes rose 9.22 per cent to 27.6mn while turnover fell 37.22 per cent.

Oman Textile Holding (+6.15%) Oman Fisheries (+5.46%) and Bank Nizwa (+5.41%) were amongst the top gainers whereas Galfar Engineering (-7.22%) and Al Hassan Engineering (-2.15%) were amongst the top laggards.
