Youth inundate Jeddah jobs fair
(MENAFN- Arab News)JEDDAH: Hundreds of young people have registered at the jobs fair organized here by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce (JCCI) and the National Organization for Joint Training (NOJT).
The organizations are offering 1035 jobs in 58 sectors with 25 companies covering tourism administration accounting sales marketing maintenance of household appliances car maintenance construction and security.
Abid bin Abdullah Al-Akkad director of employment at the JCCI said the fair was a collaboration with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and Ministry of Labor.
He said the HRDF would raise the reward for those undergoing training from SR1500 to SR3000 apart from their certification at the end of the period specified.
Ahmed Hassan Al-Jandani a job seeker said he registered in the travel and tourism sector and found several career opportunities he could pursue in hotel management. 'It's very important to visit such career fairs to learn about market trends' he said.
