Jordan- FM meets with UN Mideast peace envoy


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, on Tuesday, met with UN Middle East peace envoy, Nikolay Mladenov, and discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.

Judeh called for an immediate cessation of Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and said such acts constitue gross violation of international laws and treaties. He spoke about Israeli violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al-Haram al-Sharif Compound, pledging that Jordan will continue to counter any Israeli violation against holy shrines in Jerusalem.

The UN official commended Jordan's efforts to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East and said he was keen to maintain constant coordination with the Kingdom.
