(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Israeli forces Wednesday moved to shut down access to Palestinian neighborhoods in occupied East Jerusalem as the government put in place security measures to counter ongoing violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians .
The measures approved by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "security cabinet", or inner circle of advisers on defense matters. The ruling followed two attacks in Jerusalem that killed three Israelis on Tuesday and days after violent confrontations erupted between the Israeli soldiers and the Palestinians in different parts of the West Bank.
Meanwhile, the Israeli government approved the demolition of houses owned by Palestinian activists, revocation of residence permits in Jerusalem and the confiscation of their property in the occupied holy city.
