Jordan- House Legal Committee opens elections bill debate Sunday
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Lower House Legal Committee Sundays opens a debate of the draft elections law in a session attended by former prime ministers and parliamentary speakers.
The panel's chairman, Mustafa Amawi, said in a statement that the discussion, within the timetable announced previously, would involve various segments of Jordanian society.
He said the House's Secretariat will extend invitations to representatives of various social components to hear their views and proposals about the bill "in order to come up with the broadest possible consensus on it".
Amawi said the meetings are open to all, without exception, adding that the draft law was uploaded to the House website in order to receive any suggestions from citizens.
