Kuwait diving team inspects corals bleaching at Kubbar Island
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Kuwait diving team, part of the Environmental Voluntary Foundation, inspected a number of corals bleaching at Kubbar Island, said an official here Sunday.
The team's head of environmental projects Mohammad Ashkanani told KUNA that the inspections occurred between August and September, noting that there are severe cases of corals bleaching discovered.
There are a number of reasons to cause such a devastating damage to the corals, said the official, adding that pollution played a major role in the bleaching.
He called for spreading awareness on the dangers of corals bleaching, affirming that sea enthusiast must be more environmental conscience regarding this matter.
