ABU DHABI 17th September 2015 (WAM) -- ADNOC Distribution has announced that the infrastructure of Yas 2 Service Station located on Sheikh Khalifa Street Yas Island will undergo renovation work that will include the installation of a new NGV dispenser.

To this effect the service station will be temporarily out of service for 4 hours starting from 12 midnight on Friday September 18th until 4 a.m. on Saturday September 19th. Normal services will commence immediately after.

Khalid Hadi Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications at ADNOC Distribution said "The renovation work comes as part of our continued efforts to strengthen the infrastructure of our service station network to keep up with the ever-growing demand for ADNOC Distribution's products and services from customers and the general public. This will enable us to consistently meet the highest international standards in service delivery."

He added "At ADNOC Distribution we seek to enhance the customer experience through the continued development of our offerings to the public including the facilities that dispense NGV and other petroleum products to vehicles to ensure a cleaner and safer environment. Within this priority we work on the continued expansion of NGV-enabled service stations in line with our efforts to support sustainability standards. "

Compressed Natural Gas CNG has emerged as an ideal alternative fuel for vehicles as it is one of the cleanest and safest fuels compared to many other energy sources. The use of CNG also supports the UAE's vision to achieve sustainable development and preserve natural resources while supporting the national economy and reducing the country's ecological footprint.
