Al Malki Commends Qatar's Support to Palestinians
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Al Malki has commended the role played by the State of Qatar in support of the Gaza Strip through many projects aimed at the reconstruction of the Strip.
Talking to Qatar News Agency's correspondent on the sidelines of the 144th session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, Al Malki hailed Qatar's support to the Palestinians.
The Palestinian Foreign Minister stressed the need to lift the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, consolidate consensus government in the Strip, and strengthen government control and management of border crossings in order to complement the efforts of reconciliation.
He called for condemning the attack on the Al-Aqsa and holding Israel responsible for the escalation in Jerusalem and the region, stressing the need to ensure that the Palestinian cause remains the focus of the Arab countries.
Al Malki said that increasing settlement construction aims at preventing the establishment of a sovereign and viable Palestinian state.
