One party government
(MENAFN- Arab News) This is with reference to the report 'Turkey needs single-party government to 'fight terror'' (Sept. 13). I strongly believe that it is only the Justice and Development Party (AK party) which is capable of steering the country out of the current crisis. In the current situation Turkey needs a single-party government to take effective measures to counter the ongoing problems. A coalition government in the times of crisis usually proves to be ineffective. Every political party has a different agenda and vote bank politics affects the decision-making process.
The AK party has successfully managed the country for over a decade or so. The AK party should revisit its recent policies that led to a change in its public image. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan should also soften his tone and stances on various issues. I urge all Turkish people to vote for the AK party so as to ensure protection of their national interests. Jamil Ahsan Dammam
