Turkey: Top court member commits suicide


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) A member of the Council of State, Turkey's highest administrative court, has committed suicide in Turkey's Bursa province on Friday, according to official sources.

Ali Yasar Yurdabak killed himself at the garden of his relatives' house in Nilufer district while on a holiday journey with his family.

The suicide has been confirmed by Bursa Governor's Office and top security officials in the city. Officials are waiting for a forensic report.

Yurdabak was visiting his relatives in the province en route from Istanbul to southern Bodrum district for vacation.

After shooting himself in the chest, he was rushed to the Uludag University Hospital, where he died. His body has been sent to Bursa Forensic Medicine Institution.
