Kuwait- VIVA posts KD 21.5 mln profits in 1st half


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Telecommunications Company (VIVA) said on Sunday it had earned KD 21.5 million (USD 71.05 million), 43 fils per share, in first half of 2015 compared to KD 18.9 million (USD 62.46 million) in H1 2014.

Total shareholders' equity reached KD 71.5 million in six months that ended on June 30, 2015, compared to KD 28.5 million the same period of last year, VIVA said in statement posted on Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) website.

Overall assets reached KD 247 million, total liabilities amounted to KD 175.6 million in H1 2015, compared to KD 171.9 million in H1 of 2014.
VIVA was founded in 2008 and listed in the KSE in 2014, with a KD 49.9 million (USD 165.44 million) paid-up capital.
