Jordan, Palestine discuss health cooperation


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Jordan Medical Association (JMA) President and Senator Hashem Abu Hassan on Saturday met with Palestinian Health Minister Jawad Awad and discussed ways of enhancing bilateral health and trade relations.

During a meeting in Amman, Awad thanked the people of Jordan and its wise leadership for their continuous support to the Palestinian people's rights, pointing out that his ministry is in constant contact with the Jordanian Ministry of Health.

Abu Hassan praised the relationship between the people of Jordan and Palestine.

He said Jordan has been and will remain the closest to Palestine, both at grassroots and leadership levels, stressing the full support of the JMA's office in Jerusalem to continue providing its services to doctors in the west bank.

JMA praised the Jerusalem office's decision to boycott the Israeli occupation's medicine and considered it as a step of struggle that deserves recognition and build upon, expressing full support for this important resolution in rejection of the occupation.

Jawad and Chairman of the Jerusalem office Nizam Najib invited JMA's council to visit Palestine. Date of the visit shall be set later.
