Turkish army officer killed after gunfire from Syria
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A Turkish army officer was killed and two sergeants were wounded in Kilis after gunfire from Syria.
The Anadolu News Agency reported that the officer were killed when a pickup truck carrying 10 heavily armed the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) members opened fire on Turkish troops stationed at a mountain border outpost.
It added Turkish forces responded by targeting positions across the border and at least an ISIL militant was killed. (end) rs.am.ibi
