Qatar condemns attacks on Algerian soldiers, policemen


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the armed attacks which occurred in the province of Ain Defla in Algeria, in which nine soldiers, three policemen were killed and two others were injured.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry stressed Qatar's solidarity with Algeria in confronting acts of violence aimed at destabilising security and terrorising innocent people. The statement expressed Qatar's condolences and sympathy to the government and the people of Algeria and to the families of the victims who were killed in the heinous attacks.

It reiterated Qatar's firm stance of renouncing violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their motives and causes.
