Ramadhan begins in Belgium Thurs.
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Muslim Executive of Belgium (EMB), the representative body for Muslim worship affairs, announced this evening that the fasting month of Ramadhan starts this Thursday, June 18.
This date was determined by the Board of Theologians, at its meeting today, said the EMB in a statement.
The EMB and its Council of Theologians sent their best wishes to the entire Muslim community in Belgium and wished this holy month to be one of piety, mutual support and dialogue with all sections of Belgian society.
An estimated 500,000 Muslims mainly from Morocco and Turkey live in Belgium which has a population of 11 million.
