(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A number of wilayats of the sultanate affected by the tropical system Ashobaa reported varying degrees of rainfall on Thursday resulting in the flooding of streets valleys and mountain passes. 

Light to moderate rain fell in Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan. The villages of Quroon Jidama Al Akra and Al Hadd Jasheer Qahid and Al Juwaira reported moderate to heavy rainfall with high waves.

Jaalan Bani Bu Ali and its villages also reported moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied with thunder and strong winds resulting in the flooding of mountain passes like Al Ghwaila Al Hilya Al Litaq. The niayabat of Al Ashkharah also reported moderate to heavy rainfall.

   

Rain also lashed the wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid including the villages of Muqul Badha Muzaure Saih al Rafi Shrajidil andAl Quhum. The rainfall was accompanied by moderate to strong winds resulting in the flooding of Wadi Absan and Al Ajma and Wadi al Sum.

Bidiyah Al Dhahir Ghabbi and Al Muntarib also received light to moderate showers.

In the governorate of Muscat the wilayats of Seeb Al Khoudh Mawaleh and Amerat reported light rainfall.
