Man jailed for 3 years for stealing recharge cards in Qatar
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced a Filipino man to three years in jail and a fine of QR121,580 for stealing the property of his employer, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
The convict is to be deported when he completes his sentence. He has to repay his employer, a communication company, QR121,580, the value of recharge cards he stole.
The convict, a sales representative, sold the recharge cards and put on the company's electronic system that the cards were not sold because they were damaged.
Later, the company discovered his fraud and got him to sign an affidavit that he stole the money through fraud, and filed a case against him.
