(MENAFN- Arab Times) Ministry of Interior's Assistant Undersecretary for Jails and Sentences Enforcement Affairs Major General Khalid Al- Dayein talked about the achievements of the special security team tasked to follow up cases and arrest those wanted by law from Sept 7, 2014 to April 27, 2015.
In a press statement, Al-Dayein said that within the above mentioned period, the team transferred 38 people to the Psychiatric Hospital, arrested 457 people sentenced to less than a year in prison, 242 sentenced to one year to five years in jail, 148 sentenced to more than five years to 10 years in jail, seven people sentenced to more than 10 years to 15 years in prison, six sentenced for more than 15 years and above in prison and three sentenced to death.
He confirmed the team will continue working 24 hours a day to arrest all those proven to have violated the laws, according to the procedures followed by the Ministry of Interior to guarantee public safety.
