SeaOman inaugurates its new divecentre at The Wave, Muscat

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) SeaOman powered by Oman Sail has launched a new dive centre at The Wave Muscat offering scuba diving excursions for PADI-certified divers.

Located just 45 minutes from the secluded Damaniyat Islands Nature Reserve the SeaOman Dive Centre is a gateway to a whole new underwater world along the sultanate's unexplored coastline including popular dive sites Fahal Island and the aptly-named 'Aquarium' at Kharbah Island.

Azzan Rashid al Sinani senior dive instructor said 'Oman is emerging as one of the most popular dive destinations in the region with large unspoiled reefs and an abundance of sea life that is not found in the same numbers anywhere else in the region.

'Our year-round warm waters and untouched dive spots offer divers the chance to see coloured coral shoals of barracuda snapper angel fish parrot fish reef sharks and whale sharks as well as nesting hawksbill and green turtles which has helped to make Oman one of the world's fastest growing dive destinations.'

He added 'The SeaOman Dive Centre at The Wave Muscat adds a new element to the potential for tourism and offer trips to some of Oman's best dive locations just off the coast of Muscat as well as advanced diving courses for certified divers.'

The centre located at Almouj Marina at The Wave Muscat will offer group bookings and private tours to popular and largely undiscovered dive sites accessible from Muscat with all equipment available to hire on site. Courses for non-certified divers are available at the Sea Oman Dive Centre in Mussanah at the Millennium Resort Mussanah where newcomers to the sport can learn from a team of highly-experienced PADI-certified dive professionals.

Divers can also sign up for the SeaOman Dive Club Membership which offers two free dives for PADI-certified divers with equipment hire included an extra 10 per cent discount on dives (two tanks).

Members will also receive an additional ten per cent discount on all other SeaOman products including boat charter watersports sailing courses and kayaking.

The dive centre will be open from 8am until 5pm seven days a week.
