Preparations on for International Tourism and Hospitality Conference


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The preparatory committee of the Jordan Second International Tourism and Hospitality Conference, said Thursday that preparations were on for the launch of the conference.

Head of the committee, Sharifa Nofa bint Nasser told Petra that the five-day conference will gather a number of researchers and specialists from the United States, France, Germany and Algeria along with Egypt, Malaysia and Jordan.

The conference will focus on Jordan as a safe, attractive tourism destination, she said, emphasizing that holding the conference on the shores of the Dead Sea was to highlight the Kingdom's richness and diversity of tourism.

Also, she noted that the conference was organized in cooperation with Yarmouk University's Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management and Auburn University.

Participants at the conference will discuss various topics, such as planning and tourism development, tourism marketing, sustainable tourism and human resources and hotel and tourism investment, in addition to political influence on the performance of tourism and medical tourism.
