(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Talal Abu Ghazaleh (TAG) organization and the Italian Embassy in Jordan signed a cooperation agreement Tuesday to promote the Italian culture and language.
Under the agreement, which was inked by Chairman and CEO of TAG Dr. Talal Abu Ghazaleh and Italian ambassador to Jordan Patrizio Fondi, the two sides will organize cultural events and activities related to the Italian language and culture in Jordan.
The pact is a breakthrough that will consolidate and strengthen ties between Italy and Jordan, the Italian official said, noting that 2,400 students in Jordan are learning the Italian language.
Further, TAG signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dante Alighieri Society to focus on teaching the Italian language in schools and to promote language courses in cooperation with Italian universities that provide scholarships in Italy.
