Project Qatar '15 key to boost trade - Qatari Eco. Min.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Qatari Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmad bin Jassem Al-Thani said Monday Project Qatar 2015 was one of the important exhibitions and would contribute to boosting trade exchange between Doha and other countries.

Sheikh Ahmad, in a statement after the inauguration of Project Qatar 2015 at Qatar National Convention Center, said the fact companies from 40 countries were participating in the exhibition reflected importance of event for Qatar and the Middle East region.

The Public Authority for Industry and 22 construction companies from Kuwait are participating in Project Qatar.

Sheikh Ahmad said the large number of exhibitors reflected global interest in infrastructure projects, which Qatar recently announced for the 2022 World Cup.

Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani will sponsor two events on sidelines of Project Qatar 2015, the first is the 4th International Stone and Stone Technology Show, Qatar Stone Tech 2015, and the 12th International Exhibition for heavy machinery, Heavy Max 2015.

Project Qatar 2015 features participation of 1,130 exhibitors.
