Student jailed for providing forged certificate

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Doha Misdemeanour Court has sentenced a GCC student to one month's jail for providing a forged school certificate, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.

The student had approached another person in a neighbouring country to register at a private secondary school there. He registered in the school on the payment of QR2,100 and did not attend any of the classes.

By the end of the school year, he asked the person about the examination system and was told that there was no need for any exams and his certificate was already ready with all the necessary stamps.

Eventually, the student approached the Supreme Education Council with the certificate, where officers concerned detected the forgery.
