Ooredoo launches enhanced disaster recovery facilities


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Ooredoo has launched "world-class" disaster recovery facilities at its data centres, which will enable companies to keep their operations going even in the most serious emergencies.

The new solution combines 'Disaster Recovery Seating Space and Business Continuity Management' (BCM) services to enable companies to fully relocate staff to a dedicated area within Ooredoo Data Centres in Mesaimeer and Wadi Sail in the event of an emergency.

In addition to a physical space, the environment provides full access to a company's entire IT Network and data stored at the Ooredoo Data Centre, in addition to phones, PCs, applications and Internet with Ooredoo's bigger, faster network.

This "state-of-the-art" facility is a ready-to-run disaster recovery service, providing a fully self-sufficient infrastructure with its own power supply to support more than 48 hours in the case of any domestic or international network system failure.

By launching this new Disaster Recovery Seats & BCM Services, Ooredoo said it is "again demonstrating its leadership" in business technology, bringing state-of-the-art services to Qatar, supported by its incredible data network.

To ensure affordability for customers, Ooredoo is offering different packages suited to businesses needs including a Limited Edition service (limited Disaster Recovery seats with limited days per month); Standard Edition, (with reservation for seats with additional Disaster Recovery services); and the Ultimate Edition, which provides dedicated seats or rooms with any time Disaster Recovery Invocation.
