China: 24 workers remain trapped in flooded mine
(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) At least 24 workers remain trapped inside a flooded coalmine in China's Shaanxi province, the state news agency Xinhua reported Sunday night.
There were a total of 247 workers at the mine, owned by Datong Coal Mine Group, when the incident took place, out of which 223 were evacuated in time.
A search-and-rescue operation is ongoing.
