PM, Ban open UN Crime Congress expo
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Prime Minister, Interior Minister and President of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice
H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon yesterday inaugurated an exhibition on the sidelines of the Congress at Qatar National Convention Centre.
The expo over an area of 10,000 square metres provides all information about the main event to participants in different languages. Proceeds from it will go out to humanitarian causes to reflect the commitment to establish a safe and stable international community.
The Premier and Ban toured sections of the exhibition.
Around 60 exhibitors, including the Saudi Ministry of Interior, Qatari Ministry of Justice, Qatar Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Qatar Lawyer Society, Thailand Institute of Justice, UN Knowledge Centre and legal and human rights organisations and establishments are participating.
