(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY April 3: Two citizens were arrested in Jabriya for consuming and possessing narcotic substances. While patrolling the area late at night a team of security officers got suspicious when they noticed a car parked there with the suspects inside. The officers then asked for the identification documents of the suspects a Kuwaiti man and a 25-year-old female compatriot. Since both suspects appeared dazed the securitymen inspected the vehicle until they found some hashish 154 Lyrica pills cigarettes and other narcotic substances.

The two suspects were then referred to the concerned authorities for the necessary legal measures. In another security operation an Egyptian wanted by law for involvement in a betrayal of trust case was arrested in Hawally. He tried to escape on foot when he sensed security presence but the officers chased him and referred him to the relevant department for legal action. Moreover the Tripartite Security Team consisting of members from the ministries of Interior Social Affairs and Labor and the Kuwait Municipality arrested an Egyptian hairstylist for posting commercial advertisements on different social networking sites like Instagram. After verifying a tip-off on the illegal activities of the suspect the team raided his apartment which is being used as salon for women. He was referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.

Officer shown gun: An officer has filed a complaint at Saad Al-Abdallah Police Station against a citizen who allegedly tried to murder him. Security sources revealed the officer went to the citizen's residence with a court order to arrest him for involvement in a criminal case. However the citizen purportedly pointed a gun to the officer and then fled from the scene. Police are still looking for the citizen sources added.

Man held after chase: Rescue men and personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department in 12 patrol cars with help of two Ministry of Interior helicopters following a fierce hunt have arrested a citizen of an unidentified Gulf state for stealing a car belonging to an oil company at gunpoint reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added the suspect resisted arrest and exchanged gunfire with the pursuing party until he was forced to surrender at a distance from the Salmi port. According to a security source the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received information about the theft of one of its vehicles in Abdali by a man armed with a gun. The company was able to locate the car through a satellite tracking system which showed the man was speeding along a road in Ritqa. When this car developed mechanical problems the suspect went to a animal pen threatened one of the occupants and escaped with his car. The security sources said officers chasing the suspect fired several shots in the air and the suspect returned the fire until he was forced to surrender. Police have seized from him the pistol which he used in shooting at the police some money and identification documents. Police investigations are continuing.
