Saudi- Students send messages of support to soldiers
(MENAFN- Arab News) Five thousand students participating in the ongoing sixth Student Conference of the Ministry of Education in Jeddah have sent messages of support to soldiers involved in Operation Decisive Storm.
Hisham Al-Maghrebi the ministry's adviser and public relations supervisor said the students wanted to show their appreciation for the operation launched by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
He said Minister of Education Dr. Azzam Al-Dakhil visited Jazan and other southern provinces to support people of the region and to provide reassurances that the government would continue to ensure the smooth provision of education and other services.
Al-Maghrebi said the pavilion was the brainchild of Deputy Minister for Planning and Information Professor Abdulkader A. Al-Fantookh. He said some people had feared that they would not be able to attend the conference because of the suspension of flights briefly last week from southern provinces.
He said the flight ban had lasted one day because there was 'total security and stability prevailing in the country.' This made it possible for the congress to receive all its star students from the southern provinces' he said.
Al-Maghrebi said participants have been encouraged to show their loyalty and patriotism at other events.
