Police College signs pact with British Council


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Police College has signed a co-operation agreement with British Council to provide English language training to students of the college.

The agreement was signed recently at the Police College by Brig Dr Mohamed Abdullah al-Mohanna al-Marri, director-general of the college, and Amanda Ingram, director of English Language Services at the British Council.

The signing was attended by Maj Dr Jaber Hamoud al-Noaimi, director of Administrative and Economic Affairs at the college, Prof Dr Hussain Fathi, dean of Academic Affairs, Prof Dr Diab al-Badaniya, head of the General Requirements Section at the college, and Hosnain Ramji, director of Corporate Education at British Council.

Dr al-Marri said the agreement was intended to raise the language and communication skills of students in order to prepare them as highly qualified personnel.

Ingram expressed pleasure at signing the agreement, saying British Council has clear plans to implement the agreement that will help enhance the capability of students.
