Woman said steals KD 500000 worth promissory note and cash

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 24: Security operatives attached to Hawalli Command organized an intensive campaign across the governorate leading to arrest of 27 people wanted for civil and criminal cases. They issued 106 traffic citations and seized five vehicles and six bottles of imported liquor. Acting Hawalli Security Chief Brigadier Abdullah Hamad Al- Ajmi disclosed that security officers exert tremendous efforts to protect life and property and maintain law and order. He assured the campaign will continue until the governorate is completely free of crimes.

Stuntmen beat up police: Agroup of reckless youths physically attacked a policeman who tried to arrest their partner for performing stunts in the vicinity of a multipurpose events hall in Sabahiya. The officer was on routine patrol when he spotted the youth performing stunts with his vehicle and with others gambling so he approached them to verify the identity of the ''stuntman''. To his surprise friends of the youth in action surrounded the officer and prevented him from entering the car. They fled the scene after beating him. Acase was registered and the police are trailing the suspects.

Complaint filed against woman: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Sabah Al-Salem Police Station accusing a compatriot woman of stealing KD 8000 and a promissory note worth KD 500000 from a safe in his home reports Al-Rai daily. A case has been registered. The woman will be summoned for interrogation.

Kuwait Interpol in Britain: The Kuwaiti Interpol will meet its British counterpart in Lyon France to discuss legal procedures to extradite the former General Manager of the Public Authority for Social Security Fahd Al- Rajaan who is wanted by Kuwait in connection with embezzling public money reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a knowledgeable security source. The source said the Kuwaiti Interpol delegation left for France yesterday to participate in the meeting of heads of offices of Interpol in the world. According to the source the absence of a Kuwaiti court verdict against Rajaan will make his extradition difficult.

Nature of ''suicide'' case changed: The Capital Governorate Public Prosecutor has ordered to change the nature of the case of an Indian cook from ''suicide'' to ''premeditated murder'' reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the Prosecutor did not give reason for his decision due to the course of investigations. The source said a knife was found next to the corpse and it is believed the cook may have been murdered.

Video clip filmed in Qatar hotel: The video clip which appeared recently on social media websites showing three people was filmed inside the ''Gulf Suite'' of the Four Seasons Hotel in Qatar reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting reliable sources. The three people in the clip are believed to be Syrians and they have been identified while the person who planned produced and edited the clip is a Kuwaiti identified only as H.E. In the same context sources said the three people who fabricated this clip are involved in a number of crimes in addition to deliberately spreading rumors and false information to undermine the prestige of the state and harm the national interests of the country. They are also accused of placing hoax calls and perjury.
