London FTSE closes above 7,000 points in historic first
(MENAFN- AFP) London's benchmark index FTSE 100 closed above 7,000 points in a historic high on Friday, boosted by the British government's upbeat budget this week.
The FTSE ended the week up 0.86 percent at 7,022.51 points. Elsewhere in Europe, the CAC 40 in Paris gained 1.0 percent to 5,087.49 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 1.18 percent to 12,039.37 points.
