Three dead in Brazilian oil rig blast

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) At least three workers were killed Wednesday in a blast at Brazilian oil rig operated by Petrobras, the oil workers trade union in the state off Espirito Santo said.
Paulo Rony, the trade union's coordinator, said four people were injured and six missing in the blast.
The fire that followed was under control, he said.
Neither Brazilian authorities nor the state-controlled oil giant Petrobras confirmed the deaths.
Brazilian TV channel Globo News reported 33 workers had been on the Cidade de Sao Mateus rig, which was drilling for oil and gas about 60 kilometres off the coast of Aracruz in south-eastern Brazil.
