Kuwaiti crude up 79 cents to USD 42.54 pb


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The price of Kuwaiti crude oil went up by 79 cents on Friday reaching USD 42.54 per barrel compared to USD 41.75 per barrel the earlier day, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) here on Saturday.

Due to the recent release of data showing that US oil exploration companies are decreasing shale oil exploration activities, crude oil prices exceeded 8 percent yesterday.

Brent crude went down by USD 3.86 pb to stand at USD 52.99 pb, while US light crude hiked by USD 3.71 pb to settle at USD 48.24 pb.
