Crea8 Productions Will Showcase Their Film Aquarium At The Slamdance Film Festival

Crea8 Productions will be represented at the Slamdance film Festival with the film “Aquarium”. It was completed in a record-breaking 45 days.

 

 

 

Crea9 Productions and principals Benmio McCrea  Natasha McCrea and J.D. Phillips are pleased to announce that their movie “Aquarium” will be at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City Utah for the 21st annual event. The Festival competition for feature films have budgets less than one million dollars and are made by first-time directors.

 

The documentary narrative and shorts competition at the festival runs from January 23 through 29 and the Aquarium cast and crew is proud to be a part of the competition. The production time for the entire movie “Aquarium” was six weeks a notable accomplishment in itself.

 

Director Benmio McCrea is a Philadelphia native who holds a BFA from Syracuse University. He wrote produced and directed the award winning short film “Retribution” which garnered praise on the festival circuit. In addition it premiered on Showtime. Among the list of awards garnered by Mr. McCrea is Cine Eagle Award a "Prized Pieces" Community Choice Award as well as an Emerging Artist Award of Special Merit. He has been honored by the Black American Cinema Society Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame National Black Programming Consortium Independent Feature Project and the Writer's Guild of America. He is a member of the DGA and resides in Los Angeles with his beautiful new bride and Crea8 Productions producing partner Natasha McCrea.

 

Natasha McCrea has appeared in several films including The Last Adam Can’t Let Go Chatroom and Blade Sisters. She has starred in television hits such as ER Third Watch and CSI. Her one-woman show “Evolution of a Love Addict” has toured nationally her book by the same title is available on Amazon. She is the producer of “Can't Let Go” an award winning film that is also being televised on major networks. Additional projects are “Tired Black Man” “Deadbeat Dads” and “The Takeover”.
