Saudi- 208 labor law violations in EP

(MENAFN- Arab News) The Ministry of Labor's branch in the Eastern Province carried out a weeklong joint inspection campaign with the participation of the police Passport Department and municipality resulting in the detection of 208 violations of the Kingdom's labor and residency laws across the province.Hamad bin Nasser Al-Sukor director of inspections at the Labor Ministry said that these joint campaigns were carried out by the offices of Abqaiq Jubail Hafr Al-Batin and Dammam.He said: 'There were 208 irregularities including 85 violations for working with a third party three violations of working in a different profession from the one stated on the documents in addition to 123 other violations. The expatriates have been referred to the departments concerned for punitive action.'He added that the police arrested 40 workers without identification papers in addition to five workers with forged documents.
