Qatar- 26 illegal street vendors caught in Industrial Area
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha Municipality, in collaboration with Al Fazaa Police and the Public Hygiene Project caught 26 illegal street vendors during a crackdown in the Industrial Area.
Civic authorities closed down three outlets selling food unfit for human consumption. One restaurant and one cafeteria were closed for five days and another cafeteria for 30 days.
An inspection campaign by Al Wakra Municipality and the Consumer Protection Department caught violations during raids on bakeries, restaurants and abaya and mobile shops, said the Ministry of Municipality on its website. Authorities removed 2916.5 tonnes of household waste and 9079.6 tonnes of mixed wastes, carcasses of 170 animals, and 29 abandoned cars in December, reported QNA.
