Lebanese army arrest four Syrians after crossing borders illegally

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Lebanese Army opened fire at a group of Syrians trying to infiltrate from Shebaa village towards the Syrian territories, but were later arrested after injuring one of them, the army said in a statement Monday.

The statement noted that the army fired at the group attempting to flee from Lebanon's Bait Jin town to southern Syria, adding that one of the four arrested had minor injuries and was transferred to hospital, while the rest were sent to the appropriate authorities.

The Lebanese army has been on strict military operations due to borders tension between Syria and Lebanon.
