Arab League Secretary General Receives Call from President Abbas
(MENAFN- QNA) Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby received a telephone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said during the contact Elaraby and Abbas discussed the latest developments of the Palestinian-Arab draft resolution submitted to the UN Security Council to demand the termination of occupation.
President Abbas confirmed that the draft resolution would be put to vote later in the day to the UN Security Council, stressing the Palestinian rejection of settlement in the Palestinian territories in all its forms, especially in occupied Jerusalem.
The draft resolution calls for setting a time frame to end Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories and the establishment of the Palestinian state by the end of 2017.
